Career missionaries, Steve & Trina Pennington served first in Kenya, were called to Ethiopia for 10 years and, in 2007, returned to Kenya where Steve accepted the position of Academic Dean of the East Africa School of Theology (EAST). Having trained future pastors for the past 5 years, Steve then served as the Team Leader Overseer of Live Dead, an initiative to plant churches among the unreached peoples of East Africa through teams. Since January 2014, Steve has served as Area Director for East Africa & the Indian Ocean Basin. Steve and Trina serve 17 countries in East Africa and more than 100 AGWM missionaries. Their vision is for every person in East Africa & the Indian Ocean Basin to hear the gospel at least one time in their life in a language they understand. They dream of vibrant AG churches among every people group in their area.
